Betsy Kenney is a comedy writer, performer, and director.
She writes and directs with collaborator, Dara Katz (Cool Right Productions). Their short film Tapes, a dramedy about a mother/daughter relationship, was selected to premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.
Their film, Amazing Bagel, a comedy about a miscarriage, was an official selection of the 2019 Maryland Film Festival, Calgary International Film Festival and won the Audience Choice Award at the Nitehawk Shorts Fest. Their previous series, The Place We Live, a ‘90s evening soap parody, can be viewed on IFC.com.
Recently she wrote on the Ryan Reynold's Snap Chat Original, Ryan Doesn't Know. Betsy was the host of the Instagram series Pushing Buttons, produced by Questlove. Betsy’s voice and face have appeared in commercials for Olay, Fruit of The Loom, Absolut, Geico, Samsung, TurboTax, Comedy Central, Bank of America and most recently Volkswagen.
Betsy voiced "Bode Locke" in Audible's audio adaptation of Locke & Key. She also plays "Angie" in the Netflix animated series Motown Magic, executive produced by Smokey Robinson.
